As a general rule, to build something great is not about more hours and resources thrown at a problem, but less bullshit.
Braintrust is a meeting in which everybody shares their perspective with the scope to broaden the one of who's presenting. The goal is to look at different points of views and enrich yours.

Decide on an idea. Build it in a small team, within a short time frame. Launch it on the market and then learn.
You will get real answers only when people will buy or use your product in their natural environment and with their own motivation to do so. Anything else is a simulation — “It Doesn’t Have to Be Crazy at Work”
You can miss details, you can miss important stuff, but it is not the point. The risk is present at any stage. So why debate about it when you can build, launch and learn?
